Well-known to be a self-proclaimed American princess, Abby currently attends Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. As a native Texan, she's not happy about this out-of-state venture, but she is stepping up the Texas courage and bearing it.
A musical theatre major, she has performed such roles as Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde, Anna in The King and I, and The Minstrel in Once Upon a Mattress. Additionally, she has taken her talents to the dramatic stage, playing Phaedra in Hippolytus, Penelope in The Odyssey, Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible, Sarah in God's Favorite, and Mayella Ewell in To Kill A Mockingbird.
On the music front, Abby has performed in the Opera The HMS Pinafore, and appeared on stage with Chuck Wagner. She performed at the TUTS Tommy Tune Awards Ceremony (2004), and was the featured musician at the Galveston Arts Museum opening of Dune Patten. She was selected to be part of the Honor Treble Choir for the Texas Music Educators Assoc. 2003 Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas, and won one of only 24 slots in a nation-wide audition for the 2004 Performing Arts Institute Program at University of Miami in Miami, Florida. Abby sang with the Region 23 All-District and All-Region Choirs all four years of high school.
A Presidential scholar, she studied in the Presidential Classroom during the summer of 2003, and in that same capacity, was invited to, and attended, the January 2005 inauguration of President George W. Bush.
An honor student, Abby has embarked on several traveling study opportunities, including Miami, Washington DC and most memorable, England, where she was able to work on the stage of the Globe Theatre. She graduated from Jersey Village HS in 2005.
